The Band Boosters met on Thursday evening, June 14 to discuss and vote on some much needed purchases for the band program. In a unanimous decision, we have voted to purchase the following items: 1) 6' Podium, 2) Wireless PA System, 3) Two Marching Baritones, and 4) Four Marching Sousaphones (Tubas).
Summer Band Camp is fast approaching and we need adult chaperones to assist the director and sponsors while at the 4H Center. The Requirements are simple: Simply show up a the 4H center around 7 or 8pm, spend the night in the dorm with the kids, get up and leave for work the next day around 6:30 or 7am. Tina Jiles is the chaperone coordinator for this year and she would greatly appreciate everyone's help. Tina is the person to contact if you want to chaperone any event with the band. This includes football games, competitions, trips, etc.
We are still in need of a Concession Scheduler for the fall football season. If you, or someone you know, are interested in the position, please contact Danny Coleman at www.chelseahighband@yahoo.com. This position receives a $250 credit on this years band fees.
The first official Band Booster meeting of the new year will be on July 19 at 7:00pm in the Band Room. We need all parents of the Band, Guard, and Dance to be there.
